Statement from NYGOP Chairman Nick Langworthy on the Farm Laborer Wage Board’s Decision to Reduce the Overtime Threshold

“Democrats just delivered a death blow to New York’s agriculture industry. Today’s decision by the Farm Laborers Wage Board to reduce the overtime threshold is not just out-of-touch–their callous action is knowingly going to put New York family farms out of business. Democrat control of New York has systematically destroyed industries and our precious farming community, which was already drowning with burdensome regulations, is next to be decimated. New York Republicans have been fighting against this outrageous regulation from Day One, and if we are going to save our family farms we must elect Lee Zeldin and our Republican legislative candidates this November.”
