ICYMI: Counties, Towns Fight Back Against Hochul, Adams on Immigration

Lately, Kathy Hochul and Eric Adams have been learning that there’s more to being a “sanctuary” jurisdiction than just virtue signaling, as city and state resources strain under the wave of Joe Biden’s immigration crisis.

Instead of demanding that Joe Biden close the border, Hochul and Adams are trying to force local jurisdictions that have made no claim to be sanctuary areas to take responsibility for the illegal immigrants that the City and State can’t handle.

Republicans at the local level, like Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon and Salina Town Supervisor Nick Paro are pushing back against this insanity.

After Eric Adams announced his intention to bus migrants to Onondaga County in spite of the county’s emergency order barring such transfers, County Executive McMahon and Supervisor Paro obtained a court order blocking the transfer, which Mayor Adams has announced he will obey.

Democrats at every level of government are failing to secure our border, but Republicans will keep up the fight for sane governance.
