I am heartbroken to report that we have suffered a tremendous loss to our NYGOP Family with the passing of our NYGOP Finance Co-Chairman Anthony Kammas.
Anthony Kammas was a proud father and husband who was one of the most genuine and kind individuals I have had the honor to meet. He was a proud Greek-American and champion for the American Dream.
His vibrant personality and energy was infectious. He was devoted to making his city and state a better place to live for all New Yorkers, and that is why he became a leader in the Republican Party. He selflessly offered his time and his efforts to strengthening our cause. He recruited many people to do the same.
If you met Anthony Kammas, you made a new friend. I and many others grieve his untimely loss.
Erin and I offer our love and prayers to his wife, Maria, their children, Elizabeth and Pantelis, and the entire Kammas family during this very difficult time.
Anthony was a dedicated member of the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Brooklyn, where his services will be held.
The viewing will take place on Thursday July 2 from 6-9 p.m. with a Trisagion service at 7:30 p.m, 64 Schermerhorn St, Brooklyn, NY 11201
***Please note, they will stop viewing between 7:15 and 8:00 p.m. for the Trisagion service to take place. Due to the pandemic, only family members will be allowed to sit in the church; all others will be able to pay their respects, and immediately exit at the guidance of the Cathedral Board of Trustees.
The Funeral Service the following day will be held for family only.
Under New York State guidelines, anyone who wishes to attend the viewing must observe all protocols as directed by the Board of Trustees and wear face masks at all times.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all donations be made in Anthony’s memory to Autism Speaks. Donations can be made by clicking the following link, www.autismspeaks.org
