MARY BETH WALSH
Assemblywoman, 112th District
Mary Beth Walsh was elected to the New York State Assembly on November 8, 2016. Her district includes parts of Saratoga and Schenectady Counties.
Mary Beth’s experience as an attorney, advocate for children and families and proud Saratoga County business owner will enable her to represent the people of the 112th Assembly District. Committed to reforming Albany and making New York State a better place to live, work and raise a family, she will work to instill real ethics reform in state government, revitalize the economy and turn around the business climate, fight for middle-class families, revamp the education system and empower parents to advocate for their children and protect upstate values.
Prior to being elected to the Assembly, Mary Beth served in a variety of leadership positions in local and county government, including two terms as a Councilwoman in the Town of Ballston, Saratoga County IDA, Saratoga County Ethics Advisory Council and Saratoga County Autism Council. These community-based positions have helped Mary Beth to develop a keen sense of what matters most to upstate residents, families and businesses. Throughout her tenure as Councilwoman, Mary Beth helped deliver critically important services to residents while promoting fiscal restraint and keeping the Town of Ballston free of municipal taxation.
Mary Beth currently works at her own private practice. She has been a practicing attorney for more than 25 years, and most recently served as Saratoga Assistant County Attorney and the Town of Edinburg Attorney.
As a wife to husband Jim, and a mother of six in a blended family, Mary Beth is keenly aware of the challenges facing our families today.
