ALBANY – NYGOP Chair Ed Cox released the following statement:

“In his quest to be Speaker, Hakeem Jeffries and Democrats have sought to undermine and corrupt the redistricting process every step of the way – from their initial illegal gerrymander to stacking the Court of Appeals to limiting any legal challenge to four heavily Democratic counties with elected judges.

“Our victory in the Harkenrider case led to fair lines. Despite Democrats’ ongoing corruption of the process, these lines are not materially different from those drawn by the special master. As such, there is no need for further litigation.”
