ALBANY – NYGOP Chair Ed Cox released the following statement in response to the latest report showing New York leading the nation in outmigration over the last four years:

“Under one-party Democrat rule, New York has become the nation’s leading exporter of our most precious resource: our own people. With crushing taxes, far-left criminal justice policies, and a cost of living spiraling out of control, families and businesses are fleeing in droves, and we are on pace to lose three House seats following the 2030 census.

“Albany Democrats are running the state into the ground, and New Yorkers are voting with their feet. The only way to stop the decline is to elect Republican leadership that will prioritize economic growth, safe streets and the cost of living, and make New York a place people want to stay, not escape.”
