DO NEW YORK CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRATS AGREE WITH COLLEAGUE THAT 9/11 WAS SIMPLY “SOME PEOPLE THAT DID SOMETHING?”
April 12th… It’s been three days since Rep. Omar made her offensive remarks and while AOC and other Dems are actually defending her outrageous comments and labeling anyone upset by them as racists, most of New York’s congressional Democrats have stayed silent or refused to outright condemn their colleague.
Rep. Max Rose represents a district that lost more than 300 men and women during the terrorist attacks on September 11th, yet he refuses to call out Omar by name and condemn her.
Where are the rest of NYC’s congressional delegation? SILENT
Jerry Nadler whose district covers Ground Zero? SILENT but has plenty of time for partisan games.
Sean Patrick Maloney…SILENT
Antonio Delgado…SILENT
Anthony Brindisi….SILENT
Our state leaders are no better….
Where is Governor Cuomo? SILENT
Kirsten Gillibrand? SILENT
Chuck Schumer? SILENT
Tish James? SILENT
This isn’t even the first time Omar has demonstrated sympathies for Islamic extremism. Back in 2016, Omar asked a judge for “compassion” when sentencing an ISIS recruit and her anti-Semitic tropes are well documented.
Just today a clip emerged of her mocking Americans for their anxiety about al-Qaeda and equating them and Hezbollah with U.S. armed forces.
Chairman Cox said, “It’s stunning that any member of Congress would whitewash the most horrific attack on our nation’s soil, but for New York Democrats to put party loyalty over condemning her words is despicable. September 11th forever changed New York, America and the families of the nearly 3,000 murdered souls. Part of ‘never forgetting’ means remembering what happened. Shame on them for their silence.”
