Friends,

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the sudden passing this week of Jeff Buley, the long-time legal counsel to the State Committee.

Jeff was a great friend, a great lawyer and a great servant to our Party, serving five chairmen across over 30 years as a trusted counsel.

His long list of service to the Party and its candidates includes Special Counsel to Senate Majority Leader Bruno, Counsel to the New York State Association of Counties, Chief Counsel to the New York State Senate Health Committee, General Counsel to the re-election campaign of Governor George Pataki, Counsel to the Bush/Cheney ’04 campaign in the state of Nevada, Counsel to the re-election campaigns of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Counsel to the Romney for President campaign for the state of Florida.

Jeff was a diehard Mets fan and an avid golfer. He will be most remembered for his dedication to his family, especially his two daughters.
