ALBANY – NYGOP Chair Ed Cox released the following statement following a report that Miles Burnett, the Democratic candidate for Mayor of Binghamton, used the N-word in a video posted to social media:
 
“The video of Miles Burnett using a vile racial slur is appalling. He is obviously unfit for office and should drop out of the race. 
 
“If Josh Riley fails to immediately and unequivocally condemn such vile language and disavow any association with it, he demonstrates either tacit approval or cowardice. The people of Binghamton deserve leadership that rejects hate, both in Washington and at home.”
