ALBANY – NYGOP Chair Ed Cox called on AOC and Tish James to rescind their endorsements of New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams following explosive reports that a staff member in his office says she was drugged, assaulted and retaliated against by his security detail at a government holiday party, and that Williams knew about it and stayed silent, even as he positioned himself to become Acting Mayor. Multiple city agencies are now investigating, and internal emails suggest Williams’ office actively worked to suppress further discussion of the incident.
