ALBANY – NYGOP Chair Ed Cox released the following statement in response to reports that State Senator Pete Harckham honored an anti-Semitic school board member:

“On the same day that Kamala Harris spurned the popular governor of the most important swing state because she feared antagonizing the anti-Semitic elements of her party, New Yorkers learned that Senator Pete Harckham honored a local official who has publicly and unapologetically repeated rhetoric calling for the extermination of Jews.

“The moral rot of anti-Semitism in the Democratic Party runs from the top to the bottom. Voters in the 40th District deserve a State Senator who will protect and defend Jewish New Yorkers in the face of such vile anti-Semitism.”
