ALBANY — NYGOP Chair Ed Cox released the following statement:

“Michigan Democrats have just nominated for the United States Senate Abdul El-Sayed, a radical extremist who has called to for defunding the police and violence against Republicans, condemned the killing of the Ayatollah, blamed America for Islamic terrorism and campaigns with a radical influencer who believes America deserved 9/11. 

“This man clearly has no place in the US Senate. Chuck Schumer is Senate Democratic leader and Kirsten Gillibrand is Chair of the DSCC – if they don’t disavow dangerous extremists like El-Sayed, who will? Is there anyone left in the Democratic Party who will put their country over their party?”
